Update Link: Signs of Life, Part 16
Noted: Rated R if you care about those kinds of things. Nothing explicit, but suggestive anyway. I’m really trying to push myself with this story, so I hope you guys are enjoying it. I just don’t think I can write about this time period in Elizabeth’s life by leaving everything off the screen like I usually do, lol.
I wanted to drop in to let you guys know the plans for revising Mad World (and when you can expect to see it) as well as plans for resuming regular posting. I got very much in the weeds in October in a lot of things, so I pretty much focused exclusively on getting through the teaching day and then getting Mad World done by October 31.
Re: Flash Fiction. The plan is to bring it back this weekend (November 6 & 7). I have a four day weekend so I’ll have time during the week to get things in order so I don’t have to spend the entire weekend on one project. I’ll let you know if that changes.

Hello! Just dipping in for a moment to report that I did the impossible — I completed the alpha draft of Book 4 today! It’s around 522 pages and 186k words. I will be checking in tomorrow with more news about revision plans and NaNoWriMo and when you can expect regular posting to come back to Crimson Glass. I appreciate your patience while I focused exclusively on getting this done by October 31. There were definitely days when I didn’t know if we could do it, but I was able to pull it out.
Hey dropping in to let you know that Mad World is coming along great! I had a huge weekend. I drafted eight chapters over the last three days, and we’re on target for the first draft to be done by October 31. I’m really exhausted, lol, I spent most of the extended weekend writing, so I’m going to get off my computer, do some laundry and watch tv to enjoy the last of my day off. Mad World is currently at 22 chapters, 345 pages, and 128k words with another 15 chapters planned. This is an insanely long book lol, so prepare yourselves for February. We’re going to be here a while.

Update Link: One Simple Glimpse
This story has legit the strangest inspiration for a short I’ve ever written, lol. I wasn’t planning this at all, and I don’t have any of the site set up for it. It’s not in any of the story lists yet and I have to get ready for a doctor’s appointment. I’m off today for my TMJ appointment, and I was going to use the hour before I left to work on Karma. Then my brain did a thing while I was showering and now here we are.

TW: pandemic
I don’t like too much time to pass between posts, and since I didn’t end up doing Flash Fiction this weekend, I wanted to check in and let you know how things are going. My writing guru, Lani Diane Rich over at Chipperish, started a sprint community livestream on Saturdays. This was the first week, and I tuned in 10 AM to see how it would go. It’s been a really long time since I’ve been able to write for more than hour at a time thanks to the TMJ, but I was hopeful that a community sprint and the opportunity to work alongside someone who’s been so influential in my writing career might inspire me.

Listen. I knew September 19 was happening, I was aware of the date the whole time, and then somehow — I completely forgot about it. I even made the video last week talking about CG’s history and mentioned the date. I don’t know.
