Welcome to Crimson Glass

This is a General Hospital fanfiction archive that concentrates on the pairing of Jason Morgan and Elizabeth Webber. You will also find a lot of stories that feature Sonny and Carly Corinthos, Patrick Drake and Robin Scorpio, and Nikolas Cassadine and Emily Quartermaine. The stories are written completely by me, Melissa (LissieLove) and features novels, short stories, and other GH-related material. It has been online since September 19, 2002.

If you don't like Jason and Elizabeth as a pairing or you have any fondness for the character of Franco, then you should probably click the back button and continue on your way. Happy travels. I hate Franco. He is a lying, violent, sociopathic piece of shit, and I hope this character gets yeeted into the sun. Thank you.

Update Blog

March 23, 2014

I’m feeling a little guilty since I’m not planning to post anything new this week.  I finished Shadows last week, and A Few Words Too Many and Daughters are returning next week (Sunday), but other than slowly moving over older stories, there’s nothing new and I’m trying to get my writing together so that’s something new at least once a week.

So, I’m posting some more previews. The opening snippet to a profanity-laced rewrite of the paternity debacle in 2006, in which Elizabeth Spencer lets Lizzie Webber out to play. This is called No Angel, and will be a short story posted when it’s finished. It’s not being officially shuffled into my writing schedule, just when I get annoyed because it’s so much easier to write angry.

I’m also posting a short scene from A Few Words Too Many, Chapter Three.

Let me know what you think and click here to read the previews.

I updated a story description for the poll, and it’s vastly different than the original one, so I wanted to remark on it here. It’s currently in the lead, so I wanted to be sure people wanted to read it as it’s been plotted. I saw that it was winning so I sat down to jot down some thoughts and then spent an hour plotting it, because once the idea comes, you have to go with it.  The Webber family angle is going to be much more minor than I had anticipated. Title may also change at some point.

The Best Thing – Set in 2005. Sam died giving birth to her daughter and left custody to Jason, whom everyone believes is the father. He and Elizabeth reconnect as he struggles with the death of his friend and raising a child.  Her family returns to town to attend Audrey’s funeral, while Carly tries to convince Sonny to sue for custody of his daughter, after learning she cannot have more children of her own. Sonny begins to spiral into a dangerous breakdown, leading to a deadly power struggle with Jason that threatens everyone close to them. Jason/Elizabeth, Sonny/Carly, Johnny/Nadine (Because I’m a dork)

Finally, after almost two weeks, I have finished Shadows. Part 3 is posted, which you can read by clicking the featured banner to the right, or click here: Shadows.

I posted a poll to see which not already posted story readers want to see next. That poll will be up until June, since I have a TON of in progress stuff that has to be sorted before I can devote myself to anything else.

The edited chapters of Daughters will be along as soon as I finished reposting I Shall Believe, which should be in about ten days (roughly March 29). On Sunday, March 31, I’ll post the first full-fledged chapter of A Few Words Too Many (which includes the prologue piece I posted earlier and an extra scene). I would wait until April 1, but I’m leaving for a short vacation in Oxford on March 31.

While I’m working on FWTM, I’ll also be finishing up Daughters and working on the revisions of Tangle and These Small Hours. Daughters will be completed by end of May at the latest, and both Tangle and These Small Hours will resume posting sometime in either late May or early June.  Please, respond to Shadows – Part 3 and vote in the poll to see what story I should be day dreaming about when I should be paying attention to bus stops 😛

To keep updated with the site, you have a ton of options. You can join the subscription list on the right, register with the site on the right, like the Facebook page or follow the site on Twitter.

I’m working on the next part of Shadows, but it’s turning out to be somewhat long. Would you rather I stop now (about 11 pages, 4000 words) and have four parts or continue so it’s about 8000 words, which is closer to 20 pages, and keep to three parts? Please reply and let me know.

I’m looking for a beta reader for A Few Words Too Many. If you’re interested, please reply and let me know.

In Progress Stories

Shadows – Part 3 is coming along slowly because the scenes are longer than I had anticipated, so it’s going to be more like this weekend, which is frustrating because I want it done, but oh well 😛

Daughters – Working on editing the chapters, but I won’t be posting them starting March 17. I’m going to wait until all the chapters are edited and I finish the last three so I can post in spurts and also cross this one off the list.

Tangle – Working out my rewrite, and hope to be posting sometime in May.

A Few Words Too Many – The rewrite is going really well so far, I may move posting up to April if it keeps rolling along, and post that instead of Daughters or Tangle.

These Small Hours – I’m reworking my original outline, it feels a little dated and missing some elements so it’s slated to return in late May, early June.

Other Stories Planned

Mad World – Working on the revisions, and hope to have it back in late summer.

Fallen From Grace – Plan to have it back in the fall. I’m working on it when it feels like being written, but I don’t plan on posting it until I’ve completed it.

Life for Rent – Plotting out the second two stories, and will be working on them off and on. Two stories left, will be posted when completed. No planned return date.

Damaged – In the very early stages. No planned posting date.

Heaven Forbid – In the early plotting stages. No planned posting date.

Burn in Heaven – Waiting until Few Words Too Many is completed, but tenative plot plans are in mind as I’ve been working on these off and on for years.

March 10, 2014

The third part of Shadows is going be even later than I thought, because Jason and Elizabeth keep chattering away and I can’t make them stop. Oy. So as an apology, I’m offering a preview of a story that I’ve been working on for a while. I decided to rewrite Poisonous Dreams so I could write the sequel the way I wanted to, and plus I ended up not enjoying the original much, so I decided to give it a second shot.

I am posting the prologue of A Few Words Too Many, but I probably won’t be posting this story before May, though it’s giving me less issues than anything else I’m working on, so you never know.

Click Here: A Few Words Too Many – Prologue and please reply and tell me what you think!

Due to the extreme length of I Shall Believe (33 chapters and a prologue) and it’s relative old popularity, I am reposting it in chunks and also posting it for the first time at The Road to Nowhere, so it’ll be posted more slowly than my other stories, but I’m working on it. The prologue is now up. You can start the story by clicking here: I Shall Believe

March 9, 2014

I’ve noticed that quite a few people have signed up to receive emails about new posts to this site. I’m super excited about, but somewhat concerned as I still have stories to move over, and I’ve saved my longest stories for last. I Shall Believe is about thirty chapters, Sanctuary is more than twenty chapters, Yesterdays is fifteen chapters, and Intoxication is about the same length.

I’m not sure about the subscription options, if you can only have them sent once a week, or whatnot, so I just wanted to warn anyone who’s receiving multiple emails from me over the next two months while I’ll finish moving stories. I cannot control subscription options, and if I had realized that I would have figured out a different method to keep people updated.  Those kinds of emails will be temporary, because once the site is completely moved, you’ll only get maybe one or two a week.

Shadows might be slightly late. Due to the changes in my outline, I had to readjust some of the later scenes, so they’re taking longer. I also have a presentation due tomorrow and a German paper due on Wednesday, so I have to spend most of today working on those things (and I already overslept and procrastinated by reading fanfiction, oy. I suck.) Shadows shouldn’t be too super late. I’ll write a scene here and there, and hopefully it’ll be up by Tuesday.

The poll has spoken, haha, and now that North Star is moved over (because I already started to do so), I Shall Believe is next.

March 6, 2014

I had not intended to update Shadows in the middle of the week, but I had originally planned to write the story in two very long parts (the first was more than 8000 words), but as I was writing the second part, the conversations between Jason and Elizabeth became excessive, haha, so I stopped it fter about 5000, since I know the rest of the story is going to be long as well.

You can click the featured banner (which counts clicks and I can see how often it gets read), or click Shadows, Part 2, to read more.

The first batch of Daughters chapters are almost ready, so I’ll be posting Part 3 of Shadows on Sunday or Monday, as planned, and then Daughters the next week, but if you read fanfiction at The Road to Nowhere, I’ll probably be posting the six chapters there over the next few weeks, separately, before archiving them there.

In other site news, I haven’t done nearly as much moving as I had intended. I started moving North Star, but didn’t finish. If a title of a story is in bold and you cannot click on it, it either means I haven’t moved it yet, or that it’s coming soon.  I plan to finish moving the stories ASAP, but I keep getting distracted with, actual writing. PLUS! Ha. I’m in grad school in London, and occasionally I have to do work for that, including a massive 15,000 word dissertation on the legislation of Two Acts in the British Parliament in 1795. So…you can imagine how much fun that is compared with writing.

Enjoy, everyone and dude…thank you so much for remembering me and reading my stories again. Liason fans have always been the best!
