Welcome to Crimson Glass

This is a General Hospital fanfiction archive that concentrates on the pairing of Jason Morgan and Elizabeth Webber. You will also find a lot of stories that feature Sonny and Carly Corinthos, Patrick Drake and Robin Scorpio, and Nikolas Cassadine and Emily Quartermaine. The stories are written completely by me, Melissa (LissieLove) and features novels, short stories, and other GH-related material. It has been online since September 19, 2002.

If you don't like Jason and Elizabeth as a pairing or you have any fondness for the character of Franco, then you should probably click the back button and continue on your way. Happy travels. I hate Franco. He is a lying, violent, sociopathic piece of shit, and I hope this character gets yeeted into the sun. Thank you.

Update Blog

March 31, 2014

So I woke up at 6 AM to get a bus to get across London and to my coach stop by 7:15. Somehow, despite doing this, I still miss my 7:30 bus. I figure out what I did wrong, get another bus at 8 AM, but it’s a half hour late. By the time I get to Oxford, I’m exhausted, but still can’t check in until noon.

And for some reason, I spent the entire bus ride daydreaming about the new version of Damaged, which was originally slated to be an AJ/Elizabeth story, in the wake of him being cleared of Connie’s murder. It’s now clear that the morons that work at GH don’t love my beloved AJ nearly as much as I do (which I understand…because most people don’t) and he will not be cleared while he is alive. I can’t deal with writing about another character that got shafted, since I so regularly have to explain away Jason and Elizabeth in my stories over the last decade, and their moronic choices. (I can’t be with you or ever have a family. Ever. Except the moment our son is dead, the whore that watched him get kidnapped and threatened him can get her surgery, so we can go make a baby together we’ll raise. Whatever, Jason. Fuck off.) *cough* Ahem. Anyways.

So I updated that story description, as well as Mad World and Counting Stars, which I had finished plotting since I posted the poll. Those are the last stories that weren’t all together planned, so I shouldn’t have to update the poll again. If you’ve already voted, but like one of the new choices better, you have the option of changing your vote. Haha, I am super nervous Slide will win since I have done very little planning on that, but once you give readers the power 😛

New Descriptions:

1. Counting Stars – Set in 2000, after Jason leaves Port Charles the first time. Elizabeth asks Sonny to bring Jason home because she has something life-changing share with him. Once Jason returns, not everyone in Port Charles is happy to see him back in Elizabeth’s life, and may be willing to resort to drastic measures in order to keep him away. Would mostly be Jason/Elizabeth. Other characters/couples: Sonny/Alexis (friendship), Luke, Laura, Emily, Nikolas, Bobbie.

2. Mad World – Set in 2004. A huge ensemble story that begins with the rape of Ned and Lois’s daughter, Brook Lynn. Suspicion quickly falls on a specter from the past, which causes cop Lucky Spencer to wonder if he has what it takes to do this again, while Elizabeth struggles with her own memories in the wake of a difficult relationship with the father of her child. Jason is exhausted being who his friends need him to be, and Alexis learns that danger to children comes from everywhere, no matter who their father..  Jason/Elizabeth, Nikolas/Emily, Lucky/Original Character, some old-fashioned Jax/Alexis/Ned friendship, teensy Patrick/Robin (how could you have doubted me?), Ned/Lois, and some teens.

8. Damaged – Set in 2014. After AJ’s murder, Monica and Tracy struggle to put the fractured pieces of the Quartermaine family back together, beginning with Elizabeth’s son, Jake, and AJ’s son, Michael. Michael begins to believe that Sonny murdered his father, while Ava Jerome has an elaborate scheme to get what she considers her rightful inheritance–no matter who she destroys to get there. Characters/Couples: Michael/Starr (I loathe Kiki more than anything else in this world), Monica, Elizabeth, Tracy, Ned, Ava, Sonny, Carly, Todd (because no to Franco as well), Sam, Julian, Alexis (and others….who cannot be listed because you know…spoilers) Oh, and obviously I will be changing the crap out of the show. Jake never died  (because…just…no. I cannot write a world where my beloved Liason baby is dead.) Silas, Kiki and Franco do not exist. Morgan was never aged, because I have plans for Morgan and Cam to be BFFs. So…yeah…this story is going to be my FU to the entire last year of the show.  Will Jason end up being alive? I dunno. Maybe Ava’s plan involves the Cassadines. You just never know in my head.

Please vote in the poll if you haven’t already or would like to change your vote!

March 29, 2014

Hey. I was thinking about trying to post this Monday or Tuesday, but I’ll be in Oxford, and I may not have the opportunity. My plan is post it Mondays & Thursdays until it’s completed. Theoretically, that’ll be about the third week in May, at which point either These Small Hours or Tangle will start being posted, depending on which one is further along at that point.

I also added an updated story status post, if anyone is interested.  Day Three of Aurora Dawning and Chapters 8-10 of Yesterdays was moved over as well.

A Few Words Too Many: Chapter 2
Aurora Dawning: Day 3
Yesterdays: Chapters 8, 9, 10
Story Status Update

March 28, 2014

I’m actually pretty proud I held out this long in posting. I said I’d be posting the first chapter of this tomorrow morning London time. Ha. Well, I’m sitting here, in London, and I consider 1 AM to be morning. 😛 I’ve been working on this for over a month, and I’m just in love with it, so I hope others will love it as much as I do.

If you read the preview chapter I posted a few weeks ago, there are a few tweaks as well as a a second scene with Sonny/Jason.  Click here to go to the story page: A Few Words Too Many. I hope you guys like it, please let me know what you think!

March 27, 2014

I started converting Crimson Glass to WordPress in January, and had hoped to be finished almost a month ago. The bulk of the site had been moved over by then, but a few stories had remained. In another week or two, that will be complete, which makes me happy. I’ve wanted to convert to WordPress for years (even tried it once before my great disappearance) but in the six years of my hiatus, someone wrote a plug in that actually made it possible.

So, here’s where it stands: Everything has been moved over in its completion, which the exception of Sanctuary, Yesterdays and Aurora Dawning. I had actually forgotten AD because for some reason, it wasn’t posted on the old CG, so I’ve had to reformat it. I’m still working on the layout of that section, so expect it to look messy. Those three stories are being moved over in small chunks (Two chapters of Yesterdays a day, two or three of Sanctuary, and one part of AD at at time.) At that rate, it should be done in no more than two weeks. I’m going on vacation on Monday, March 31 for three days to Oxford, England, and doubt I’ll do much more than writing in my free time.

I finished reposting I Shall Believe, so all thirty three chapters are now online here. With that finished, I can move towards posting new stories. Starting tomorrow, with the first chapter of A Few Words Too Many, and then probably when I get back next Thursday, I’ll start reposting Daughters, with its revisions and its conclusion.

In poll news, it looks like after I finish Daughters, Few Words, Tangle, and These Small Hours, you’re getting The Best Thing followed by Mad World, but I’ll wait until June 1 and the poll officially closes to start digging in beyond plot sketches 😛

March 23, 2014

I’m feeling a little guilty since I’m not planning to post anything new this week.  I finished Shadows last week, and A Few Words Too Many and Daughters are returning next week (Sunday), but other than slowly moving over older stories, there’s nothing new and I’m trying to get my writing together so that’s something new at least once a week.

So, I’m posting some more previews. The opening snippet to a profanity-laced rewrite of the paternity debacle in 2006, in which Elizabeth Spencer lets Lizzie Webber out to play. This is called No Angel, and will be a short story posted when it’s finished. It’s not being officially shuffled into my writing schedule, just when I get annoyed because it’s so much easier to write angry.

I’m also posting a short scene from A Few Words Too Many, Chapter Three.

Let me know what you think and click here to read the previews.

March 20, 2014

I updated a story description for the poll, and it’s vastly different than the original one, so I wanted to remark on it here. It’s currently in the lead, so I wanted to be sure people wanted to read it as it’s been plotted. I saw that it was winning so I sat down to jot down some thoughts and then spent an hour plotting it, because once the idea comes, you have to go with it.  The Webber family angle is going to be much more minor than I had anticipated. Title may also change at some point.

The Best Thing – Set in 2005. Sam died giving birth to her daughter and left custody to Jason, whom everyone believes is the father. He and Elizabeth reconnect as he struggles with the death of his friend and raising a child.  Her family returns to town to attend Audrey’s funeral, while Carly tries to convince Sonny to sue for custody of his daughter, after learning she cannot have more children of her own. Sonny begins to spiral into a dangerous breakdown, leading to a deadly power struggle with Jason that threatens everyone close to them. Jason/Elizabeth, Sonny/Carly, Johnny/Nadine (Because I’m a dork)

March 18, 2014

Finally, after almost two weeks, I have finished Shadows. Part 3 is posted, which you can read by clicking the featured banner to the right, or click here: Shadows.

I posted a poll to see which not already posted story readers want to see next. That poll will be up until June, since I have a TON of in progress stuff that has to be sorted before I can devote myself to anything else.

The edited chapters of Daughters will be along as soon as I finished reposting I Shall Believe, which should be in about ten days (roughly March 29). On Sunday, March 31, I’ll post the first full-fledged chapter of A Few Words Too Many (which includes the prologue piece I posted earlier and an extra scene). I would wait until April 1, but I’m leaving for a short vacation in Oxford on March 31.

While I’m working on FWTM, I’ll also be finishing up Daughters and working on the revisions of Tangle and These Small Hours. Daughters will be completed by end of May at the latest, and both Tangle and These Small Hours will resume posting sometime in either late May or early June.  Please, respond to Shadows – Part 3 and vote in the poll to see what story I should be day dreaming about when I should be paying attention to bus stops 😛

To keep updated with the site, you have a ton of options. You can join the subscription list on the right, register with the site on the right, like the Facebook page or follow the site on Twitter.

March 13, 2014

I’m working on the next part of Shadows, but it’s turning out to be somewhat long. Would you rather I stop now (about 11 pages, 4000 words) and have four parts or continue so it’s about 8000 words, which is closer to 20 pages, and keep to three parts? Please reply and let me know.

I’m looking for a beta reader for A Few Words Too Many. If you’re interested, please reply and let me know.

In Progress Stories

Shadows – Part 3 is coming along slowly because the scenes are longer than I had anticipated, so it’s going to be more like this weekend, which is frustrating because I want it done, but oh well 😛

Daughters – Working on editing the chapters, but I won’t be posting them starting March 17. I’m going to wait until all the chapters are edited and I finish the last three so I can post in spurts and also cross this one off the list.

Tangle – Working out my rewrite, and hope to be posting sometime in May.

A Few Words Too Many – The rewrite is going really well so far, I may move posting up to April if it keeps rolling along, and post that instead of Daughters or Tangle.

These Small Hours – I’m reworking my original outline, it feels a little dated and missing some elements so it’s slated to return in late May, early June.

Other Stories Planned

Mad World – Working on the revisions, and hope to have it back in late summer.

Fallen From Grace – Plan to have it back in the fall. I’m working on it when it feels like being written, but I don’t plan on posting it until I’ve completed it.

Life for Rent – Plotting out the second two stories, and will be working on them off and on. Two stories left, will be posted when completed. No planned return date.

Damaged – In the very early stages. No planned posting date.

Heaven Forbid – In the early plotting stages. No planned posting date.

Burn in Heaven – Waiting until Few Words Too Many is completed, but tenative plot plans are in mind as I’ve been working on these off and on for years.
