A Note.

I understand that sometimes people don’t read my update blogs because they tend to be chatty, but please note that if I have repeatedly referred to having serious energy and creativity issues, I don’t exactly owe anyone an explanation why I don’t update Flash Fiction as scheduled. I know I usually log in to let you guys know an update won’t be coming, but I’ve also felt like that’s just annoying for all of us. A ton of you are signed up for update emails, and I hate doing posts when I have nothing to give to you.  If you have my personal email, that is not an invitation to use it to ask for updates, even if you’re checking in on me.

This site and my Twitter feed are the places where you should check in with me, or my Patreon feed if you’re a Patreon.

I hope to be back updating this week, but I’m struggling hard in real life and I’m not going to post every single time I don’t plan to update, even if I have posted a schedule.  I love this community a lot, but I think I’ve been very open about my issues with anxiety and stress so I hope you understand that even as much I want to be writing, sometimes I can’t.

I’ll see you when I see you.

  • You’re absolutely correct. You need to take care of you. I don’t always review because of my issues or responsibilities in real life stop me from reading/reviewing. Some people don’t understand the struggles. I feel bad that you had to address it here because you always let us know when you update. Take care of yourself. I wish you peace and strength!

  • You do you! It’s very rude to ask someone to update when you have told us the problems your dealing with. Looking forward to your stories when you feel like posting them.

  • Holy crap, people have a lot of nerve. I’ve been absent from reading your stories. I understand your feelings, struggling is real and should be respected. Please take care of yourself and do what you need to do. Hugs, sandra

  • I’m with the others and am sorry that you had to deal with that, particularly when you have already forewarned that updates may not happen and to be patient. I come here and if there is an update, bonus for me and if not, then there is a reason and being pushy is rude. I hope that you get some answers soon and that you will feel better soon, but in the mean time you have to do what is best for you. Take Care.

  • I absolutely love your stories but your mental and physical health should 100% come first and it’s sad that other people don’t feel that way. I’ve taken the time to go back and reread your other fabulous stories while you take the time you need before doing any new stuff. Hopefully the positive messages shine through just as brightly as the negative ones bring you down.
