Welcome to Crimson Glass

This is a General Hospital fanfiction archive that concentrates on the pairing of Jason Morgan and Elizabeth Webber. You will also find a lot of stories that feature Sonny and Carly Corinthos, Patrick Drake and Robin Scorpio, and Nikolas Cassadine and Emily Quartermaine. The stories are written completely by me, Melissa (LissieLove) and features novels, short stories, and other GH-related material. It has been online since September 19, 2002.

If you don't like Jason and Elizabeth as a pairing or you have any fondness for the character of Franco, then you should probably click the back button and continue on your way. Happy travels. I hate Franco. He is a lying, violent, sociopathic piece of shit, and I hope this character gets yeeted into the sun. Thank you.

Update Blog

February 25, 2018

Instead of one scene, I managed four shorter ones. I hope they’re halfway good. I went over a little bit. I am now listing the chunks I write by scene, so this part tells you that there’s a Cam/Joss, Curtis/Jason scene, etc. The Jason in this part of the story is Drew, only he doesn’t know it yet so I gotta call him Jason. It hurts to write BM!Jason because he is just not Jason.

Anyway. Enjoy: Fool Me Twice Update

February 23, 2018

Apologies again for missing my Wednesday  posting. If I don’t do it on Sunday, I can’t seem to remember to do it on Tuesday, and then my week is off on a roller coaster between student teaching, my second job, and occasionally sleeping. Today, one of my classes is doing a review worksheet for their test next week, so I stole some time to post.

This last month of student teaching has been insane — I literally have not written more than a scene or two since this started. I’m hoping that once I get the hang of my schedule, once I get comfortable, I’ll be able to breath a bit more. I really hope I can finish the last few chapters in time to prevent a few weeks off.

But I gotta be honest, writing hasn’t been my priority. In addition to my jobs and my graduate class, we’re also dealing with my grandmother. She’s been sliding into dementia for the last two years. It’s been a slow slide, but it’s spend up over the last six months. She still remembers me, my dad, and my uncle, but everyone else comes and goes. And lately she’s been asking for her parents, who both passed away more than thirty years ago. So, yeah, it’s just been difficult to make writing a priority even though it’s one of the things I truly enjoy.

I have written through Chapter 26, and up to Chapter is with Cora, so we’re good for a few more months. I’ll keep you guys in the loop.

Chapter Eighteen

February 17, 2018

If you followed me during my NaNoWriMo Tweets last November, you might remember these tweets:

Chapter Sixteen, with the scene on the Brownstone at the end of the chapter is the scene this tweet referred to. I did add another chapter, but I realized I had to do more with the Jason and Elizabeth conflict. So I cut that scene in half and rewrote the chapters. I had to lose part of the story and about 5000 words.

So to make up for the lack of workshop and late chapters, I’ve given you about four deleted scenes. I hope you enjoy: Bittersweet, Deleted Scenes

February 16, 2018

So sorry this chapter is so late. I’ve been busy at work and school, and then of course, I caught the flu. I usually get it every other year, so I know the early symptoms. I went in as soon as I felt them, got my Tamiflu, and hopefully caught it before it gets really bad. It just means my four day weekend of getting things done and caught up is shot.

I highly doubt you’ll get workshop from me this weekend, which sucks because I have some good ideas for the next few scenes, but I did manage to get Chapter 17 posted of Bittersweet.

February 7, 2018

I forgot to schedule this again yesterday, but luckily (for you guys) my school district has a delayed opening so I had some extra time this morning to deal with it. So I added Chapter Sixteen. The road is going to get a bit bumpy going ahead, so I hope you guys enjoyed the few happy chapters (…I think there was one).

I’ll be back this weekend with some more of Fool Me Twice. I’m going to try for two workshop days — maybe Friday and Sunday because I have a couple of scenes in my head. It’s not going to be Liason romance — but they will be working together, interacting, being friendly, etc. It just doesn’t make sense to try for anything else. It’s also going to be ensemble — you’re going to get Drew and Sam. Anna, Laura. Some hospital people. If it goes the way I plan for it. It just doesn’t make sense that Jason’s story isn’t a proper umbrella story.

Bittersweet, Chapter Sixteen

Now I have to go modify lesson plans so an hour lesson fits into 30 minutes.

February 4, 2018

I have to find something else to call thse scenes instead of Part One, Part Two, etc. I feel like it gives the impression these scenes happen in a sort of order. I dunno, we’ll figure it out. Anyway, I also finally updated the graphics at Bittersweet with Sean Kanan rather than Billy Warlock.

Part Two is posted.

February 1, 2018

I told you this workshop thing would be messy. I figured out what I wanted to do with Fool Me Twice, but for it to work, I have to rewrite Jason’s entire return (and edit some of the intervening 2015-17 because I did not watch all of that foolishness). So I wrote the first draft until I wrote myself into a corner.

And then today, I think…I think I figured out how to tie all together, make Jason’s return an actual umbrella story that might affect more people and use more GH history. I don’t know. You let me know.

So you can still enjoy the first collection of scenes, but we’re starting over. So…

I wrote this scene in 32 minutes. Please tell me if it sucks, if this is a bad idea. Whatever.

Fool Me Twice – First Scene

January 28, 2018

So like I said, I kind of have an idea how to deal with Fools Me Twice in my second draft — so the next few scenes are going to feel like they come out of nowhere. When I do my second go at this story (once I finish this first fire dumpster draft), I want to take the story back to Jason’s return. So, yeah, basically — if you’ve watched any Franco and Liz scene (ugh, why would you?) just…ignore it.

Bittersweet is officially moved to Wednesdays. Thanks for understanding! I hope we’ll get back to two chapters a week soon, but it might end up staying this way for a while. I don’t want to go months without posting anything new (and lord, the crap I put out in Workshop really doesn’t count) so it’s better to give myself a decent buffer.

I’ll keep y’all posted as to how my student teaching semester is going. I’m trying to do a ton of pre-planning and unit designs before I officially take over so that I’m not overwhelmed and I can give myself more time to write.

Business aside, Fool Me Twice, Part Seven is now updated.

January 26, 2018

Welp, I half expected this, but I’m glad we at least got through January before I had to make any changes.

I just finished my second week of student teaching and the amount of time I got to spend at home was…wow. Sad. I’m out the door at 6:30 every morning, I teach until about 2:30, I have a about an hour before either my second job starts or class, and most nights I’m home around 7 just so I can eat dinner and go to bed at 9:30. One night, I don’t even get home until almost 9 because of graduate seminar.

I haven’t had a ton of time for writing — I expect that to change as I settle in a bit more. I also won’t be working my other job three days a week, so that’s an extra night. But right now, I only have about ten chapters between what I’ve posted and what I’ve finished writing. I don’t feel great about a five week buffer — I feel lots better about a ten week buffer.

So…while I hate having to do this, I’m going to be scaling Bittersweet back to one chapter a week for a few weeks just to give me some more time to get my schedule straightened out and finish the last few chapters.

You’ll still get Workshop Sundays — and I might toss in a Micro Fiction one night if I can make that happen on Tuesdays. I’ll let you know for sure once I start having that night off.

Thanks for understanding guys 🙂 I’ll go back to twice a week as soon as possible! Let me know if I should be posting on Mondays or Wednesdays. I’m leaning towards Wednesdays to make the posting a bit even with Workshop Sundays. What do you guys think?
