Welcome to Crimson Glass

This is a General Hospital fanfiction archive that concentrates on the pairing of Jason Morgan and Elizabeth Webber. You will also find a lot of stories that feature Sonny and Carly Corinthos, Patrick Drake and Robin Scorpio, and Nikolas Cassadine and Emily Quartermaine. The stories are written completely by me, Melissa (LissieLove) and features novels, short stories, and other GH-related material. It has been online since September 19, 2002.

If you don't like Jason and Elizabeth as a pairing or you have any fondness for the character of Franco, then you should probably click the back button and continue on your way. Happy travels. I hate Franco. He is a lying, violent, sociopathic piece of shit, and I hope this character gets yeeted into the sun. Thank you.

Update Blog

April 10, 2014

Using the Internet Wayback Machine, I located about elevenish short stories that I wrote in 2002/03, including some interesting stories in which Brenda tortures Jason.  I haven’t figured out how to index them on this site, so I’ll just list them in the post until I figure out a better way.

Song Fiction

It’s Meant the World
Do You Ever Think of Me
Some Say Love
Eternity

Replacing The Twit – some episode tags in which I either added Elizabeth to a scene she wasn’t in on the show or removed Courtney and inserted Elizabeth.

Lizzie Does Thanksgiving
Jealousy
Apologies

Brazen BFF Stories (Ha. I always loved these two together. GH missed the boat with them being bffs.) Basically, Brenda leads Jason back to happiness.

Coming Home
What Makes You Happy

Missing Stories from Heliconia and Clam Chowda

Violence Solves Everything (Jason/Brenda dialogue fic)
Better Late Than Never

This last story is not a Liason fic, but a Georgie POV fic that has some Elizabeth in it. It was meant to be the first part of a larger story, but, ah, it’s been lost to history.

The Sweetest Thing: Applications and Admirations

I still have some short stories I located at Liason Underground, but there are also several abandoned chapter fics. Would you guys be interested in some of the stories I started, but never completed for some reason?

pastI intend to sleep in tomorrow and then work on my paper, so I’m doing my posting before I pass out for the night. A large update for you if you like that sort of thing. I decided to go ahead and post the lost fic, Surviving the Past, with a heavy background note regarding the history of the story and a caveat about story quality. There are very few stories from 2002 that don’t end up in my Fiction Graveyard, but this isn’t one of them. So, of that story, I posted the first four chapters.

toomanyI also posted Chapter Six of A Few Words Too Many. I’m really happy about the response to this story so far, and I can’t wait for you guys to read the rest of the story. I’ve written up to and including Chapter Fifteen, so my plan is to be finished it before I run out of chapters to post and have to work on a deadline 😛

daughtersI also posted Chapters Four & Five of Daughters. I have thirteen more chapters to repost before you get the final three chapters. Much of the later revisions are few typos and organizational details, so they’ll be coming a lot faster now, probably one or two a day.

A Note: Please remember that I live in London, which means I’m five hours ahead of EST time, so for me this is Thursday 😛

April 9, 2014

siteSo a few things today. I have three or four chapters ready of Daughters, I’ll probably post them later tonight if I’m up to it when I get home from the pub. The next chapter of a Few Words Too Many will be posted tomorrow morning.

I’ve posted a preview chapter of the rewritten Mad World, which came into my head as I was rewatching Elizabeth’s original rape storyline from 1998, making me fall in love with my originial Liz & Lucky. My first love was Lucky Spencer, and I never thought anyone else could be as perfect for her as he was. Of course, then they recasted him with Jacob Young and killed everything I ever loved about him over the next decade, but even before JY came around, I had already seen the beauty of Jason and Elizabeth, and like Elizabeth, I was ready to move past my own first love 😛

So please read the preview and if you’d like to see Mad World sooner rather than later, let me know in the poll. You can still change your vote 🙂

An awesome reader (Carla) answered my prayers, and sent me a copy of Surviving the Past, a fic I wrote back in September of 2002. I was going through a lot of things, and that story was my answer to dealing with some tough issues a friend was dealing with. It was a darker story, about surviving child abuse, and while there are things I might do differently if I wrote it today, it’s one of my few early stories I don’t want to set on fire. So if you’re interested in having me repost it (it’s over 25 chapters and it’s complete), let me know by replying to this. It’s a dark, and not always happy fic, but it’s close to my heart and I’m relieved to have it back in my possession.

By about June of 2003, I had written almost a hundred stories, most of them short little episode tags and short stories, and nearly half of them were lost in a combination of computer crash, domain data loss, and board bannings. If you ever come a cross a story that is not posted here, but is by me, let me know. I have a folder full of lost fics I need to add from Liason Undergound.

April 6, 2014

We’re going to say I updated on Monday as  I had planned, since it’s 11:30 PM London time, and that’s close enough. I was looking at a calendar and realized that April 28 is only three weeks away, ha, and it turns out that I have a 12 page paper and a 15 minute German presentation due on the same day. Why I scheduled my German presentation the same day is beyond me, but such is life. I’ve only kind of dabbled in starting either, so tomorrow is being spent at the British Library researching the Permanent Court of International Justice before coming home to clean my room, hopefully get my LL2/Liason DVD edits in the mail before going out to pub quiz with some friends, whom I haven’t seen since we got back from separate vacations last week.

That entire spiel was to explain why I updated Daughters and A Few Words Too Many tonight rather tomorrow morning as normal. Chapter 3 for Daughters is online, and Chapter 5 for A Few Words Too Many is ready.

I don’t have anything else fancy to add, other than I can’t wait for my LL2 edits to come in. They cover August 1997 through November 1998, which is Liz’s rape storyline. I had those on VHS almost fifteen years ago, but they were lost in a fire, and I ordered the Liason DVD that covers August 1999 through April 2001. I will be one happy Liz fan this week 🙂 Expect a new Liz-focused layout once I get them in, rip them to my computer and screencap them.

All stories in the Alternate History/Alternate Universe sections have now had characters and couples added, so if you’re looking for a Patrick/Robin or Jason/Elizabeth story, you can now pick which one you want to read.  I had removed them, hoping I could utilize tags for this function and improve the layout of those pages, but it doesn’t appear to be possible at the moment.  I’ll be updating the Coming Soon page the same way.

Tomorrow, I’l be updating A Few Words Too Many, and hope to have finished another set of chapters of Daughters on Tuesday.

April 4, 2014

A few weeks ago, I previewed the opening scene for No Angel, profanity-laced revenge fic in which Lizzie Webber fixes the annoying paternity mess from 2006. I finished the story today, and have now posted it. It’s in the Alternate History section because it was supposed to be longer, and already had an image created, so I figured why not 😛

Other than posting the final part of Aurora Dawning tomorrow, I don’t plan any other updates until Monday.

April 3, 2014

I just wanted to note a change in the way you can comment on posts. In an attempt to prevent spam, I installed some plugins that required you to do math (which is annoying, ha since I have to get the questions right to log in, and God knows that’s been a disaster), as well as requiring everyone who wanted to comment to post their names and email. I’m removing both, hoping that will make things easier 🙂

Don’t you love London time? I’m in the middle of my morning here, at quarter to 10 AM and the rest of you lucky bastards are still asleep. Boo! Anyway 😛

Aurora Dawning has been updated through Day 5. There are two parts left, so this story will be finished on Saturday, and for the first time in many moons, all stories I’ve written and that still exist will be archived in one place.

I’ve started posting the new revised version of Daughters, so the first two chapters of that are up. I am nearly finished with the next two chapters, and may post them over the weekend or early next week.

Chapter Four of A Few Words Too Many is posted. The next new chapter is due on Monday.

In case you missed it, little Elizabeth ficlet, I Love The Way You Lie.

My writing and posting may slow a bit, as I have a lot to get ready for this month. I have a 13 page paper due on the influence of cosmopolitanism principles on early international law (which is about as much as fun as it sounds), and it’s due at the end of the month, along with a 15 minute German presentation. Oy. I also still have to write this silly dissertation due in September.

April 2, 2014

I’m home from vacation, but I don’t think anyone had time to miss me 😛 I wrote a little ficlet from a prompt in writing book and decided to plague you with my little Elizabeth story: I Love The Way You Lie.

I’m a bit sad, since they killed AJ off on GH this week. I knew it was coming, but it was heartbroken to see one of my favorite characters ride off into the sunset. They killed AJ off in 2005 during a period I was working and didn’t have a DVR, so I barely knew it happened. I have a few favorite characters to whom my loyalty is boundless–that’s AJ, Elizabeth, Dillon and Patrick. That’s it. I go through periods where I loathe characters (I always tell my mother that if I ever wrote the show, on my first day I’d blow up Sonny. I used to say Sonny and Courtney, then they killed her, and now I think I’d send Sam, Silas, Kiki and half the cast with them. But Sonny for sure), but these four can do no wrong. I will always find a reason to love them anyway. AJ was so deliciously damaged that there was nothing to do with him but build on it, but nope. Sacrifice him on the almighty altar of Sonny and Carly, even make his death all about them. I love Carly, but mostly because I write her in my head the way I want her to be, not how she is.

ANYWAY! The point of the above was to say the decision to kill AJ has actually spurred my writing a bit in some aspects, so it’s not all bad, but still…

I’ll resume reposting Aurora Dawning tomorrow, as well as add a new chapter of A Few Words Too Many, and the first two new revised chapters of Daughters.

April 1, 2014

For some reason, I wrote a ton of short stories in 2006, and four them were posted either at my LiveJournal or on my Yuku board but never made it the main CG site, so I, sitting on vacation and can’t sleep because this is my life and it sucks, figured I’d pass the time by collecting them and posting them here. I think I’m going to have to reorganize the short stories page. There’s too much going on.

Also, haha, the poll results have taken a sharp turn. The Best Thing is maintaining its lead by as small margin, but Counting Stars has supplanted Slide on the list, so the top three are: The Best Thing, Counting Stars and Mad World, but Damaged is coming up from behind and I probably wouldn’t count out Slide just yet.  I have no idea what I’m writing this summer 😛

I have got to learn what it means to be on vacation.

Also, because I have issues, I posted Chapter 3 of A Few Words Too Many

Precipice – Maxie/Georgie fic about grieving. Written before Georgie was killed in 2007.
Worth – Diego prison ficlet posted long before the fucker killed my beloved Georgie.
Two Strikes – Patrick/Elizabeth friendship fic in which she reveals her pregnancy woes.
Bad Taste – Jason/Elizabeth fic in which Elizabeth learns the sad truth about the man who fathered her child. Um, this is not a happy story. You should probably read at your own risk.
