I’ve noticed that quite a few people have signed up to receive emails about new posts to this site. I’m super excited about, but somewhat concerned as I still have stories to move over, and I’ve saved my longest stories for last. I Shall Believe is about thirty chapters, Sanctuary is more than twenty chapters, Yesterdays is fifteen chapters, and Intoxication is about the same length.

I’m not sure about the subscription options, if you can only have them sent once a week, or whatnot, so I just wanted to warn anyone who’s receiving multiple emails from me over the next two months while I’ll finish moving stories. I cannot control subscription options, and if I had realized that I would have figured out a different method to keep people updated.  Those kinds of emails will be temporary, because once the site is completely moved, you’ll only get maybe one or two a week.

Shadows might be slightly late. Due to the changes in my outline, I had to readjust some of the later scenes, so they’re taking longer. I also have a presentation due tomorrow and a German paper due on Wednesday, so I have to spend most of today working on those things (and I already overslept and procrastinated by reading fanfiction, oy. I suck.) Shadows shouldn’t be too super late. I’ll write a scene here and there, and hopefully it’ll be up by Tuesday.

The poll has spoken, haha, and now that North Star is moved over (because I already started to do so), I Shall Believe is next.

I had not intended to update Shadows in the middle of the week, but I had originally planned to write the story in two very long parts (the first was more than 8000 words), but as I was writing the second part, the conversations between Jason and Elizabeth became excessive, haha, so I stopped it fter about 5000, since I know the rest of the story is going to be long as well.

The first batch of Daughters chapters are almost ready, so I’ll be posting Part 3 of Shadows on Sunday or Monday, as planned, and then Daughters the next week, but if you read fanfiction at The Road to Nowhere, I’ll probably be posting the six chapters there over the next few weeks, separately, before archiving them there.

In other site news, I haven’t done nearly as much moving as I had intended. I started moving North Star, but didn’t finish. If a title of a story is in bold and you cannot click on it, it either means I haven’t moved it yet, or that it’s coming soon.  I plan to finish moving the stories ASAP, but I keep getting distracted with, actual writing. PLUS! Ha. I’m in grad school in London, and occasionally I have to do work for that, including a massive 15,000 word dissertation on the legislation of Two Acts in the British Parliament in 1795. So…you can imagine how much fun that is compared with writing.

I’ve posted the first prequel to Hand Me Down, Lullabyes, a Scrubs fic from Patrick’s POV as he prepares to become a husband and father. It was originally posted six years ago as Sweet Surrender, so if early parts feel at all familiar, it’s from there. For Liason fans, there are some minor Liason mentions, and Elizabeth is a character.

I started a Twitter feed (mostly for shits and giggles), but all minor updates will be posted there rather than on this blog. If I move a story over, or make any site changes.  Follow @CrimsonGlass to get updates.  Updates to the main page here will be reserved for major updates or stories, at which point I’ll summarize any change.

I’ve updated the layout of this site, for a better header image, as well begun redesigning the Alternate History section, so that each story is set up for its own little icon. The stories in the Completed section are now set in chronological order, beginning with 2002 and going until the last story that’s completed, First Do No Harm, in 2008. All subsequent stories will moved to the completed section to fit in that way.

I moved The Witness and Another Dumb Blonde earlier this weekend, with some thoughts to move North Star and Sanctuary at some point this week, my two Scrubs stories.

There’s a Coming Soon page that’s outfitted with stories that I’m planning and ones that will be returning at some point.

March 2014
3 March – Lullabyes, a Scrubs prequel to Hand Me Down, will be posted. Already finished, just leaving it alone for a day or so to have a fresh eye for typos.

10 March – Shadows, Part 2. A few more scenes to finish, and then re-reading for typos.

17 March – Daughters, the first bulk of edited chapters will be posted. I’m reorganizing the scenes to make the flow better, and adjusting some early dialogue to better reflect ideas and characterization that sprang up later in the the story.

24 March – Daughters, second bulk of edited chapters

31 March – Daughers, the last of the edited chapters. My hope is while I am editing the chapters, I’ll be able to write the last few chapters and post them alongside, but if that doesn’t happen, updates for Daughters will resume at a date later specified.

April 2014
Tangle — I’m in the process now of rewriting the story (I’m already one chapter in). The changes are going to make the story a lot better and set up the sequels better than I thought they would be.

These Small Hours — Updates will resume. I’ve been working on the chapters that already exist, and they’re going to be reorganized slightly for better flow. Updates on this story will continue in April.

May 2014
In addition to Tangle and These Small Hours, updates will resume on Daughters, if it isn’t already completed. I also hope to start posting A Few Words Too Many, the rewrite of Poisonous Dreams. The changes in this story are going to be stark.

June 2014
At this point, I will have three or four stories actively in progress, so those stories will continue to be updated until completed. Daughters will be completed by the end of this month.

I’m posting it today because I have two othe short stories that are nearly finished that I’ll be posting in March.

I’m really excited about this new Shadows, because I think it addresses the original situation much better than I did when I first wrote it, and I particularly like the Jason/Elizabeth stuff in here. I hope you guys enjoy it too. Please comment and let me know what you think.

Jaded (Alternate Universe: Complete) and Waiting At Home (Fiction Graveyard: Alternate Universe) are moved over. I hope to have the rest of the Alternate Universe stories moved over soon, but I may slow down on moving things in order to concentrate on some papers and my dissertation, and of course, writing. I’ve done a lot of work on the in progress stories, and I still have some more things to do before I can start posting, which is why I staggered some of it.

I know people are probably tired of site structure updates, ha. But you’ll all be happier when I have everything in place, because there won’t be anymore excuses for posting. (I cannot wait to start reposting some of the stuff I’ve written. I’m a much better writer than I was even six years ago).

Anywho — I started the new media section, which right now includes soundtracks for Daughters and These Small Hours (including YouTube videos!) Eventually, I’ll post the videos and slideshows I made once upon a time, and whatnot.

I also added the online page, which has links to sites I was excited to discover still existed.
