Welcome to Crimson Glass

This is a General Hospital fanfiction archive that concentrates on the pairing of Jason Morgan and Elizabeth Webber. You will also find a lot of stories that feature Sonny and Carly Corinthos, Patrick Drake and Robin Scorpio, and Nikolas Cassadine and Emily Quartermaine. The stories are written completely by me, Melissa (LissieLove) and features novels, short stories, and other GH-related material. It has been online since September 19, 2002.

If you don't like Jason and Elizabeth as a pairing or you have any fondness for the character of Franco, then you should probably click the back button and continue on your way. Happy travels. I hate Franco. He is a lying, violent, sociopathic piece of shit, and I hope this character gets yeeted into the sun. Thank you.

Update Blog

January 3, 2015

sitenewsWelcome to 2015! I’ve uploaded a new layout, but I’m still tweaking it. I’m still learning the ins and outs of designing for WordPress (particularly the comment section) but I’m satisfied with the way it’s coming along. I recently found my General Hospital CD with my picture collection dating from 2002-2005, which is fantastic, so I celebrated with a few old photos in the top layer.

Yesterdays is now the featured story until the beginning of March. It’s one of my personal favorite alternate universe stories so if you haven’t read it, please check it out.

I’ll be back on Monday with updates for the Fiction Graveyard 🙂

December 31, 2014

Happy New Year’s Eve!

I added Part Eight and the epilogue to All I Want For Christmas, which draws that story to a close. The Best Thing, Chapter Fifteen has also been added.

There’s some housekeeping that has to happen with those — All I Want being moved to the completed section, some ebook links added and whatnot. I’ll take care of that today before I go out.

If you check out the ebook section, you’ll see I added an in progress section. If you’ve fallen behind on The Best Thing at all, you can now read in progress versions of the ebooks so you can catch up at your leisure. Every time I update the story, I’ll update those files.

Have a great New Year’s! I’ll be back at some point this weekend, hopefully with a new layout.

December 29, 2014

Another update for the graveyard section. 🙂 The Best Thing is still on break with the holidays and whatnot. I hope to have it back soon.

Your graveyard additions:

December 25, 2014

So here’s the second part of my Christmas update. Most of the good stuff was posted yesterday, I’ll admit. However, I’m posting the concluding segments of my Christmas short story, A Merry Little Christmas, as well as several previews.

Your previews are the opening scenes to Feels Like Home and Burn in Heaven, and previews for an upcoming chapter of The Best Thing and All We Are.

Have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

December 24, 2014

Merry Christmas! I had mentioned on my Facebook page that I was planning a few special Christmas surprises, so I hope this lives up to it. I’ve got a few things for you today, and a few things tomorrow.

1. The Ebooks page has been completely redesign so hopefully it’s a bit easier to find what you’re looking for and answers a few more questions. For those of you who may have had trouble with the file formats, I’ve included a .pdf file for the two books that are currently online, Daughters and A Few Words Too Many.

2. All I Want For Christmas – Part Six has been added. There are only two parts left, and will be posted December 27 and December 31.

3. On my Facebook page, I asked for some prompts to write a new entry in The Adventures of Lucky and Lizzie. Caroline sent me in one, so I wrote The Envy of All Men.

4. And finally, as a sort of follow-up to Other People’s Truths, a ensemble Christmas story set this year with everyone from Dante and Lulu to Jake and Elizabeth. The first part of A Merry Little Christmas is posted today and the conclusion is one of your presents tomorrow.

I don’t think I’ll be posting The Best Thing today. I sent the chapter over to Cora later than I should have, and you know, it turns out there are holidays and what not. Ha. I’ll post it as soon as I get it back 🙂

Happy Holidays!

December 22, 2014

storyYour new weekly Fiction Graveyard update! Today, we have two more new stories and updates to longer ones.

So the way the update newsletter works is that you guys get emailed every single new post I make on the site. Most of the time, this isn’t a problem, but with these particular updates, I worry that you guys forget at first that these chapters I’m posting today are not part of stories that are actively ongoing.

The only stories I am actively updating now are The Best Thing and All I Want for Christmas. Unless I indicate otherwise, any other story updates will either be short stories or additions to the graveyard section, which means they’re incomplete stories.

I discovered the rest of the missing chapters for True To Your Heart on the Internet Wayback version of the original crimsonglass.com domain, so that’s really good. I also discovered that Silent Reverie and the unposted Shatter each have a missing Chapter 4 that I don’t have anywhere. If anyone knows anywhere they may have been posted, please send over a copy!

I’ll be back on Wednesday with All I Want and The Best Thing.

Additions This Week
Mad World: Chapters 4-6
True To Your Heart: Prologue & Chapter 1
The End of Everything: Prologue-Chapter 5 (Repost complete)
Out of the Dark: Prologue & Chapter 1 (Repost complete)

December 21, 2014

So from now on, I’m only going to do one featured story at a time in order to cycle through them less, and you guys are going to vote on them for good.

Trying to choose short stories to highlight tells me that I like my Ficlets much better than my Short Stories, so one of my resolutions for next year is to write more of them that I like 😛

Fiction Gravard tomorrow evening! My morning and afternoon are booked with holiday stuff 😉

December 20, 2014

First things first, Carla is the winner of the random giveaway for the All I Want For Christmas ebook 🙂 The ebook will be publicly available on December 31 when I post Part Eight and the epilogue.

Second, Part Five of All I Want has been posted.  I’ll be back on Wednesday with the next part.

And lastly, I’ve updated the Story Status with the year in review and plans for next year.

Thanks for the response to my short story from yesterday. I’ve missed doing some short pieces — it was usually the only way I wrote about other characters and I have an Olivia idea running through my head. (And I also have kind of a second part to yesterday’s story in my head — with Michael and Kiki, but eh, I have issues.)

December 19, 2014

Since the Carly/Michael confrontation on the show on November 24, 2014 (Thanksgiving) where Carly told Michael Jason had named him Michael Corinthos for Sonny, I’ve been screaming at myself. I love Carly, but damn if she’s not delusional. I hated her white-washing all the damage she did back then, and I’ve always hated the Sonny/Carly narrative of AJ in those days. People forget — he’d left the Quartermaines, he had a good solid job, and he’d made the colossal mistake of being Carly’s friend then. The only reason Carly kept him from Michael back then was to keep Tony in her life, and then to keep Michael for herself. It never had a damn thing to do with AJ. He was always her obstacle to getting Jason.

Ugh. No matter how much I enjoy Carly’s character (writing it that is), I have never forgiven her for AJ.

Anyway. So after that confrontation, I decided Michael should know more of his own history, and I don’t remember any period in which anyone sat him down to discuss musical daddies, even after AJ showed back up. They only discussed the initial things, nothing of what came later. So I realized Elizabeth is one of the few people left on the canvas who would know any of the details.

So this is set Christmas 2014: Other People’s Truths

Enjoy! Please comment — it’s a CG exclusive short story for the moment.

December 17, 2014

When I finished writing A Few Words Too Many, I created an ebook to be released simultaneously with the last chapter. I decided then to create a giveaway to send preview copies before the last chapter was posted.

I’ll be creating an ebook of All I Want For Christmas to be released on December 31, coinciding with the posting of Part Eight and the Epilogue, so I wanted to do the same giveaway.

Entering is easy — simply comment on this post to enter. On Saturday, I’ll use the plugin I used last time to randomly select a winner. If I get more than fifteen entries, I’ll give away two copies of the book. If I get more than twenty-five, I’ll select three winners.  You’ll receive Part Six, Part Seven, Part Eight and the epilogue more than a week before everyone else!

When you comment, make sure you leave a valid email — these are not publicly displayed and let me know if you need a .epub for a Nook or other ereader or a .mobi for your Kindle device.

If you won before, you are still eligible!

Good luck! Contest ends Saturday 3 PM EST.
